HEARTBRIDGE Membership

Interns who have completed the Internship can apply for a membership of HEARTBRIDGE. Members will guide productions and lead workshops in local and international venues, teach classes and set up tours.

Members will have the opportunity to perform in unique venues and progress in their skill with continued training. Auditions for membership are usually held by invitation.

Aspiring artists can enter several months of Internship with HEARTBRIDGE.

In the first few months of the Internship the intern will be offered a) training in various art expressions, b) community life experiences and c) preparation for a touring production and cultural exchange programs. This
includes in more detail the following:

A combination of the following depending on the make-up of the current members: dance (ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, break dance, tap, cultural and ethnic dance), drama/theatre, music (classical arrangements and contemporary band training), vocal (rap-singing, choir and solo), fine art (various applications and live-stage painting).

An opportunity to live in community and learn from each other, practicing principals of cultural awareness, adhering to ethical and moral standards which encourage integrity and generous community living.

A creative process where the intern imparts in the preparation of a production suitable for international audiences and helps create workshops that enhance the interaction and understanding between cultures.

The following weeks/months the intern will travel to mostly international locations with a production and cultural exchange opportunities. HEARTBRIDGE interns will join the members of the Institute performing a multi-arts production which has been created as a joint effort during the initial months of the internship and will be offering workshops to create a cultural awareness and a mutual learning experience.
